Here is a mix for the weekend from FACT magazine: Doc Daneeka makes some of the best house music around right now – with peers in Hackman, Roska and Julio Bashmore, he favours syncopated beats and polyrhythms over linear drive, and has remixed Delphic, Digital Mystikz and more in the past to great effect.

Here is a preview of MJ Cole’s Riddim EP forthcoming on Prolific Recordings in April. Sounds really good, and some of these riddims may appear later in the year with vocals.

Krissy Peers aka Melé is a young producer and dj from merseyside, uk. He started djing and producing when he was just 13 years old and 2010 is sure too see him come into his own. From being Toddla T’s one to watch for 2010 on Radio 1, to an EP out on Sinden’s new imprint, to being charted by Brodinski and big remix’es for New Young Pony Club & The Count & Sinden, its set too be a big year. Always floating between house, dubstep, funky and garage in both his dj sets and productions, means everything he’s doing at the moment is energy filled and exciting.
He has just released a track that was supposed to be on his forthcoming EP, but he ended up coming with some stronger tracks! So here is a free tune from Mele’

Fresh mix from Baobinga, Greenmoney and Jakes, for this weeks “In new 1Xtra DJs we trust” with Redlight. The three massive guest-mixes features loads of dubs and new bits, so enjoy the next 180 minutes of great music.
Yay the first FACT mix of the year is here. And it is from no other than Deadboy. Featuring Theo Parrish, Scott Garcia, Julio Bashmore, Martyn and plenty of Deadboy’s own material, it’s a mix that perfectly reflects the blurred crossroads between house, garage, R’n'B and dubstep that the likes of Mosca, Bok Bok, Joy Orbison and more are currently inhibiting, with a sense of longing that runs through the mix – whether that’s for lovers past or the halcyon days of 2step. Bassline house star Burgaboy has rarely sounded as sad as he does on this mix.
Howdy & happy 2010 y’all! We’re back from our holiday-break and we hope you’ve had a great year so far! 2010’s first post is a house / garage mix for the new decade by the mandem Bok Bok. It features a lot of fresh dubs, sure to be big in 2010.
I just can not get enough of Bristol based producer Guido. His recent work includes remixes for Pinch and Wedge & Shadz and his own Beautiful Occupation EP on Punch Drunk.
His recent mix for FACT Magazine is the perfect introduction to his sound for newcomers:
