It’s time for another installment in Mishka’s great “Keep Watch” mix-series, and here’s what Mishka has to say about the new mix:
“Crookers has been touring nonstop, smashing all the international fests and bustin’ out the best dance music out right now. Alongside other Italians such as Congorock, The Bloody Beetroots, Nic Sarno and His Majesty Andre Crookers have been strong-arming dance floors and waving the red, white and green bass flag high. In this mix expect the unexpected going deep into some glitchy and dubby vibes. The mix starts out with sounds from Hudson Mohawke, Joker and Untold and finishes off with some war riddims courtesy of Kingdom and Alter Ego. Elaborating too much would be ruining this amazing mix. Just listen to it. This is the future of the Italian sound in one word and 43 minutes.” So there you have it!
Here’s the official video for their next single (which leaked on the net a little while ago) from their forthcoming full-length “Tons of Friends”. It’s a Dubstep-inspired single and with this video they also manage to show how much they love animals too!!
Crookers has been working on their debut album for a while and now it’s official that the release-date is set to January 2010. The album will be called “Tons Of Friends”. After remixing huge names in pop and rock, they have gone to some of their favourite artists to work alongside them on their debut album. Artists featured on this album are people like: Soulwax, RadioClit, Major Lazer, Spank Rock, Kelis, Roisin Murphy, Pitbull, Kardinal Official and Tim Burgess, something that can turn into an interesting affair. The first single from the album is a hip-house influenced thing called “Put Your Hands On Me” featuring Kardinal Offishall & Carla-Marie, and the official releasedate for this single is the 5th of October.
