Drums of Death has just released two free tunes to promote his forthcoming album ‘Generation Hexed’. You will probably recognize the tunes from Toddla T’s fabriclive mix from last summer. Grab them from the Drums of Death website

Emvee is better known for his bassline productions (Check this link for a download of 20+ of his bassline productions, all free), and now recently his uk funky productions, especially his Glitch Dub EP (Buy at Boomkat). Now, he has ventured into trying to recreate a garage type sound influenced by Bassline. Here is a showreel of 7 tracks he has completed:

Night Slugs aka L-vis 1990 and Bok Bok released a great mix recently to promote their upcoming “Night Slugs EP”, that is to be released as a split EP on Dress 2 Sweat records. The mix is laced with syncopated basslines, triumphant synths, and they’re working in the most basic confines of their genre’s : bassline, funky, garage and so on, yet it reflects alot of new energy and creativity. Starkey recently released a huge mix called Starkbass. Its tracklist features an awesome selection, and most of the tracks are previously unreleased.
A few days ago XLR8R Magazine did a review of Starkbass, and I am citing this:

The mix is packed with crazy blipped-out synths, over-the-top crashing wobble effects, maddeningly complex beats, and a nearly endless supply of relentless, manic energy. Listen closely and you can pick out the differences between Raffertie’s teeth-rattling tweak-outs, BD1982’s dubbier productions, and Wonder’s straight rawness, but the breakneck pace may leave you disoriented. As long as you can handle the ride, Starkbass is a superb mix.
