Tell us about yourself; who are you, where are you from, what do you do?

Well I’m Cody from Charlotte, NC and I DJ and make beats (mostly of the booty and vogue persuasion.)

How long have you been producing & DJing?

DJing for 5 years now. “Producing” for maybe 3. I dislike the term producing, it implies I have some sort of idea about what I’m doing haha.

What is your favorite piece of studio equipment?

Well I just got a really nice chair to sit in and a pair of Mackie HR824 monitors a few weeks ago, so those are totally making life more awesome.

What are your musical influences and where do you get your inspiration from?

Well I went to a liberal arts school for percussion and have played drums formally for about 14 years so a lot of that upbringing is apparent, Like sometimes i’ll play DJ Roc tracks where the percussion is all over the place and friends of mine won’t get it but I associate that with something like John Cage and it makes perfect sense. But in a club sense of things people are the influence, crowd reading, not knowing how the party is gonna be and having to be able to play anything from Big Sean to tech house in the same set.

Do you have any forthcoming projects / releases ?

Well no releases as of late, i’ve been working on mostly ballroom oriented tracks for the past few months, I’m also writing a footwork EP with a friend of mine that’s on the come up locally, D tha Don. Other than that just making edits for the club and keeping up with booking the party I throw.

What other producers do you feel at the moment?

There are always too many toname or keep up with but my Atlanta family are always making heat.. Distal, Mite, Manikan, Ewalk. The Mite & Ewalk forthcoming B.YRSLF release is fantastic. The Qween Beat camp always keep it current with their tracks, MikeQ, B. Ames, and Divoli S’vere. I also really love just about every new Chaos in the CBD tune I hear.

My name is Myles, I’m 23 and produce as Cosmic Revenge. I’m from the east bay about 40 minutes out of San Francisco.

How long have you been producing & DJing?

I’ve been producing for about 4 years now and just started DJing last June.

What is your favorite piece of studio equipment?

My Juno-6 takes me to new worlds

What are your musical influences and where do you get your inspiration from?

I have an EP in the works for Pelican Fly, a remix for Anna Love coming out on Freshmore as well as an EP dropping with them. I’m also working on collabs with Lucid and Wheez-ie at the moment.

What other producers do you feel at the moment?

All the Pelican Fly family, Morri$, Clicks & Whistles, Distal, Wheez-ie, Canblaster, Mele, HXDB, DJG, Salva, Comma, Jaws Da Jormungand, Sines, Outlaw Producer, FBOM, VVV, Dylan C, Kon, Reilly Steel, Eprom.. the list could go on forever. Couldn’t be happier with music right now.

Tell us about yourself; who are you, where are you from, what do you do?

Lemzly Dale (1 half of 2hAtCoMbO), 19, from Bristol, I make beats on Reason.

How long have you been producing & DJing?

Started producing late ‘08, to begin with it was a bit on and off, but I started putting in the work in 2010 and haven’t really stopped since. Made a couple grime beats a few years ago but didn’t get fully involved ‘til 2011. Been mixing for about 3 years.

What is your favorite piece of studio equipment?

My MacBook Pro, that’s where it all goes down, but QWERTY keyboards are kinda dead for playing in notes etc.

What are your musical influences and where do you get your inspiration from?

My main musical influences are Hip-Hop, Grime and video games. Old and new grime sets, clashes and freestyles. Alias, Dot Rotten, Dreama, Maniac and Wiley. Most tracks that get a wheel. Baked potatoes and Peppa Pig.

Do you have any forthcoming projects / releases ?

Me and Gully Shanks should hopefully be putting out the free ‘2hAtCoMbO - #lava’ EP this month (February). ‘Off Peak’ is supposed to be getting released later this year. Haven’t really released anything as of yet, so looking to get a load more beats out there.

What other producers do you feel at the moment?

Bok Bok, Mr. Mitch, Preditah, Rynsa Man and Swifta Beater. Also… 8Spirit, Calski, Kahn, Plezier, Samename and all of my Bristol dons.

What are your musical influences and where do you get your inspiration from?

My influences are very varied. Basically I listen to House music, in particular Deep & Chicago House. I enjoy UK Bass/Funky stuffs and even some dubstep songs. Hip Hop music is very important for me too.

Do you have any forthcoming projects / releases ?

Yes, I’m currently finishing some tracks for forthcoming EP’s, I’ll let you know!

I’m Leroy Bella age 32 from Houston Texas. Was born in Southern Texas aka Rio Grande Valley and moved to Houston when i was 5 yrs old. Been here ever since.

have been djing for 10+ yrs and producing for 5 yrs.

What is your favorite piece of studio equipment?

I dont have any hardware so my setup consists of all software. But my iMac is my best friend.

What are your musical influences and where do you get your inspiration from?

My music is influenced from everything. When i was younger big influences were rock. My uncle and dad had a small rock band they performed in. Growing up i listened to all kinds of stuff. Growing up in Houston during my school yrs in the late 90’s was influenced a lot by rap music. Down South Rap had a major role in my life. Thats were i pull a lot of my tunes together from. Dj Screw was a big influential part of my life. All about that slowed and throwed music.

“Clean Me” was one of the first self-promotional prints by lettering artist Alison Carmichael. At first sight you might think this is a painting. But Carmichael, together with art director Mark Denton and Photographers Sean & Ben projected the artwork on to the back of the van so Carmichael could trace it in the dirt with his finger. #Wow ❚

Tell us about yourself; who are you, where are you from, what do you do?

Albert Redwine, thee Ultrademon. I produce under a moniker “fire for effect” and run a small label called “Coral Records Internazionale”. Currently living in Chicago.

How long have you been producing & DJing?

I got my first turntable’s when I was 15, shortly after that I got some software too.

What is your favorite piece of studio equipment?

Nord Lead 3, I’ve had it for ages, can compose entire techno tracks with just that live. Recently I’ve really been wanting to get an SP-303 again tho, really like those little samplers, sold my last one to this punk friend of mine and kind of regret that. Oh yeah and I love my VT-1, boss voice shifter.

What is your musical influences and where do you get your inspiration from?

I go through phases of influence musically, juke, jungle, house, techno, but the inspiration always comes from the same feelings. Oh yeah and Rephlex Records… heh.

Do you have any forthcoming projects / releases ?

Releasing a 7-inch through Tuff Wax out of aberdeen scotland, doing a digital release with Soukouch Ethnik, and I’ve got heaps of remixes in the que.

I make Some beats under the name 8Spirit - I’m From London

How long have you been producing & DJing?

I’ve been doing production for 3 or 4 years, although only seriously forming songs for the last 2 really. Been Mixing for A Year or so.

What is your favorite piece of studio equipment?

I Have this MicroKorg which ive made some nice sounds on, but i reckon this old glitchy yamaha pss-270, which is basically a toy synth really, probably makes some of my favourite sounds. The claps on this dr-550 ive got at the moment are crazy tho, probably my most overused sample.

What is your musical influences and where do you get your inspiration from?

Stylistically i’d say some older uk funky beats are quite influential on what i make now. I listen to alot of 140 stuff aswell, and have been going back to alot of the grime and UKG i used to hear peripherally on buses and in the school playground when i was abit younger, violins heavy, emotional melodies, eski chords sort of thing, kind of inescapable growing up late 90’s early 00’s London. I’m big on more euro deep house aswell

Do you have any forthcoming projects / releases ?

I should be doin a couple things soon, A remix of something plus potentially a collab with a mate if we both pull our act together

Hope we see these guys around as well. Â Vasava is a multidisciplinary studio based in Barcelona doing Graphics, Interactive and Motion. Their clients range from Diesel, Adobe, Schweppes and Nike. The making of Dirt Typography

This is a custom made alphabet made for an album cover. The tools used in this project are soil, home-made light table, paint brush, camera and photoshop.

After the photoshoot, the individual letters was put together in photoshop and adjusted on top of the font that was used as a template. Yes, I had a print out of the alphabet beside me when i formed the soil. I decided it was a safe thing to do for maximum readability on the finished alphabet.
