And now a little somethingsomething for the Boogie-Funk, Electro-Funk, Modern Soul and Disco lovers…
Dãm-Funk released a great, feeeeelgood mix not too long ago that we just had to post. The mixtape is dedicated to the sneakerbrand Clae and is called “Beautiful Music 4 Beautiful People” which was mixed live in Los Angeles’ Leimert Park, utilizing all ‘original wax’ pressings, in other words; no MP3′s or downloads were used in the making of this mix.
For those of you who are not that familiar with Dãm, he’s known as Los Angeles’ “Ambassador of Boogie Funk,” Dãm-Funk represents the citizens of the Funkmosphere. Headquartered in the Leimert Park section of L.A., Dãm (pronounced: dame for Damon) has been dedicated over the last few years to cultivating a musical renaissance rooted in the early-’80s styles known as Boogie, Modern Soul and Electro-Funk. Be sure to check out Dãm’s double CD “Toeachizown”, released on Stones Throw and in stores now. Enjoy!

Riva Starr just released his latest mixset on his website and he says that: ” I did this new mixset a couple of weeks ago, it’s stuffed with mashups, remixes and a few bits from my new album and it’s now ready to be downloaded on my booking agency’s soundcloud. Follow them as they’ve got some amazing mixsets from the likes of Derrick Carter, Josh Wink, John Acquaviva, Mark Farina, Luke Solomon and plenty more!”. You know what to do folks!

Starkey has just done a mix for FACT magazine. And I could not agree more with the words FACT magazine uses to describe Starkey:
More influenced by grime than its more popular cousin, dubstep, Starkey’s made a name for himself with some of this decade’s most dynamic, overblown dance music: bass-heavy club tracks that are rhythmically all over the place, constantly changing direction, with dramatic key changes and leadlines that sear higher than the stars before imploding like dying stars.
Starkey has one of the biggest sounds around – and not in a cheap, tearout dubstep sense – his tracks carry tons of physical and emotional weight; tracks like ‘Miracles’ and ‘Crippling’ some of the most beautiful tracks produced by this anything goes, post-garage music.

I just couldn’t resist myself from remixing this huge anthem. It turned out to be somewhat of a bassline/dubstep/baltimore hybrid and definitely a tune for the floor!
Nothing more to say but to turn up the volume and GET RAW!
Check out this clip from our latest clubnight! We were excited too see how many turned up, and as you can see in the clip, the club was packed! Izzi & Nizzi did a great job warming up the crowd, gradually turning up the heat before Final stepped up to the decks. Final is the norwegian champion in turntablism and earned 5th place in the 2008 DMC’s, so we already knew it was going to be heavy! Taking no prisoners he smashed up the place, leaving the crowd with nothing else to do than to putting on a bassface and raising their hands in pure excitement!
Therawjuice.com wants to thank everybody who turned up and made this a great night!
It’s not everyday we post about HipHop superstars here, but we just had to share some footage from the recent Jay Z gig here in Trondheim,Norway.
Mainly promoting his new album “The Blueprint 3″ he also treated us with some of his many classics. With a stage presence second to none, he had the crowd wild on their feet through the whole concert. In the last part of the video Jay Z is telling people how much he appreciate the love, good vibes indeed. Check it!
